My father gave me an Amazon Fire tablet (and matching Fire Stick) for Christmas - both a blessing and a curse.   I shall explain.

I love movies.   All of them.    An in order to restrain myself from watching old favorites and new obscurities 24/7 , I have purposefully hobbled my access to both Netflix and Amazon Prime.   However...

Now that I have a Fire tablet, it's just too damned easy to fire up Amazon Prime Video anywhere, anytime... and I'm guzzling at least 2 extra flicks a day.   (Not always productive.)   Especially since there's so bloody much good stuff available "Free with Prime".

I love a good obscure/low-budget horror-comedy.   Even not-so-good ones.   And I've found 3 in the past week which I feel might be worth your time.   YMMV.

I'm running a bit behind the curve re: singing the praises of metal guitar goddess Olivia Hadjiioannou, but if you've still not checked out the work of her alter ego "Oh", you are missing out on some serious shredding heaven.   Universally praised across the metal & prog landscapes, Olivia could be considered a rising star - but for the fact she has already risen... and blinded us with her considerable talents.

As you may recall last time, I offered the offbeat Xmas-film recommendation WHITE REINDEER (you didn't even TRY to watch it, did you...?).   Anyhoo, this recommendation was based largely on the talents of actress-writer-director ANNA MARGARET HOLLYMAN  who has mysteriously avoided Uncle's indy-flick radar until this time.   Now I'm a big fan.   If I were 20 years younger and a lot more ambitious... yeah, I'd probably be a stalker....

Anna's catalog is not easy to find - scattered chunks are currently available via Amazon Prime; only a couple of films exist in DVD format - but Uncle feels they are absolutely worth your time.   You won't just be impressed with Anna, you will be charmed pant-less.
