By Request: A Fresh World-Series-Of-Heavy-Listeners!

I just received my freshly-renewed US passport on the day before the most divisive presidential election in American history.    

Good omen?   BAD omen?   I can't decide.

We've churned our way through several different features in the brief history of this programme, and the ex-feature that still generates the most listener feedback is "Audrey's World Series Of Heavy Listeners."

For the uninitiated: Each episode, Audrey would count down the top ten "heaviest nations on the planet" based on their total VHUS streams and downloads over the previous 2-week period.    It was fun.   And I don't doubt for some listeners it was a brief shining moment of national pride to hear their countries' name mentioned in the countdown.

Q: Why did we cancel The Heavy World Series?    

A: It was just too much work for Audrey.   (And we were about to lose our fat statistical analysis package.   Ooops, that didn't happen.)

But know this: We look very carefully at our international streams & download traffic each week.   We are often amazed at some of the countries which have embraced our wee podcast - and even more surprised at the nations who completely IGNORE US despite the fact MUCH of our musical programming was created within their very borders.  Sigh.

Anyhow... I had some time to kill today, so I thought I'd crank out a fresh round of The Heavy World Series in response to the many listeners who continue to ask for it's return.

Note 1: Rankings determined by total streams and downloads.  Also, this is a king-size series compiling data over the past 35 days.

Note 2: Home page visits do not count... not unless you download or listen. (I hate to name names, but folks in The Ukraine visited the VHUS Home Page over 550 times in the past month.   But not A SINGLE ONE of them downloaded an episode or listened more than a few seconds.)
