I've gotten notes from a few people complaining about our 2015 Halloween Special (V.46).   Specifically: During that episode The Devil and I frequently refer to a blog page containing a list of Devil-Tested, Uncle-approved horror film recommendations.    Issue: That page has been deleted.   Ooops!

No problem, I thought to myself... we keep copies of every damned thing somewhere in the office network - I'll simply pull the text from the archives and repost the list...  but I COULD NOT FIND the bloody thing!

A friend asked me why I hadn't yet decorated the Mondo Condo for Halloween.    Answer: My Halloween decorations are trapped in the attic... and I can't get to them because I tore a groin muscle last weekend, and climbing a ladder would probably kill me right now.

My friend got a good laugh out of the story, yet she couldn't be arsed to climb up to the attic for me to retrieve 2 measly storage tubs of plastic skulls & fake tombstones.

 I've said it before and I'll say it again: My friends really SUCK.

VHUS: You've got questions... We'll dream up some answers...

A couple of times a week since we decided to terminate VHUS, we get letters from people asking (sic) "Why did you quit doing the show?  SERIOUSLY?   What's the REAL poop?   You can tell US!"

Admittedly, I had a long list of reasons for quitting, and most of them still apply.   Honestly, I didn't think anybody would give a shit.   The web is lousy with podcasts - many of them inferior to this one - and the truth is: one less prog/metal/comedy/classic-rock podcast isn't going to make any damned difference.

But if you REALLY want to know what happened (and what didn't), stick around another 3 weeks or so.   I'll have some sort of minimum-bullshit top five list for you the week we close down the big Pod-O-Matic site and switch to a tiny no-frills free site just so I can keep the name active.

It won't be anything I haven't said - or you haven't read before.   But I've always taken pride in trying to answer every question you-the-listener have thrown at me.   And this one shouldn't be any different.

A quick programming/promotional note before the links...

(This is probably an obvious thing, but it never hurts to spell things out for some people.)

Older episodes of VHUS make reference to such things as "The VHUS YouTube Channel" and "The VHUS Facebook Page" - and we occasionally get notes of frustration from listeners when they can't find them.

Well... the reason you can't find them is because THEY NO LONGER EXIST.   Why?   Because NOBODY (and I don't use this word lightly) looked at them.   They were 99.99% ignored by the masses, so after a few months it was just easier to shoot them in the head.

Yes Virginia, there may be a Santa Claus, but there's no such thing as a VHUS YouTube Channel.    Get over it.
