Christmas 2018 is finally over, thank God.

If there was anybody else in America who hated Christmas as much as I did this year, I would have liked to have met them.   (I get the feeling there were millions of us.)

Sure, I had it a lot better than a lot of people this year... but I would have traded every shiny bauble, every casserole, every Rifftrax Holiday episode, every string of hypnotic LED lights... for some simple, honest affection.   (I've had more than my share of the other kind this year.)

VHUS Classic Encore 36 AND a bare-assed Uncle-Christmas!

My apologies for the lateness of this update.   Christmas, IT issues, cancer surgery (not me) plus a near-catastrophic tire-failure collided with near mathematical precision to muck up last week's schedule far beyond my wildest nightmares.

And it ain't over yet.

A few of you might be wondering: "Why no Holiday episodes during the holidays?   We were practically drowning in Halloween stuff back in October."

Good question.   

Lame answer: Although we produced 3 Christmas "Flavored" episodes during our original run, I'd be hard-pressed to call any on them a TRUE "Christmas Episode" (although 2016's Volume 64 comes the closest).

Honestly?  My personal well of Holiday cheer is all-but-dry this year (my extreme holiday depression started a couple of days before Labor Day), and I just don't feel like cranking up the VHUS Holiday Hype machine past 1st gear.    Bah!   Humbug!    Et cetera!

Hope everyone had a good Thanksgiving and a reasonably safe and sane Black Friday (I wonder how long the Social Justice Warriors are going to let us keep calling it that?).   

Me?  I stayed home on Friday.   Alone.   Bloated.  Drunk.  But mainly alone.

A TECHNICAL NOTE:  Not sure if this a new thing or I'm just now noticing it... but POD-O-MATIC is putting the screws to us FREE-Loaders by reducing the audio quality (and thus the file size) of download files.

The new freebie default is now a 96k bitrate sampled at 20.5 kHz - formerly 128k @ 44.1 kHz (yes I realize these are meaningless numbers to many of you) and I have NO choice unless I open my wallet (not likely).

To my ears... it could sound worse.   Apologies to those of you who are audibly affected by this change.
